I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in clinical and counseling skills from Hollins University, and went on to receive my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University. Throughout my education, I found myself drawn to the ways our relationships, environments, and life experiences shape how we understand ourselves and others.
From a young age, I’ve been deeply interested in human behavior and connection. Over time, that curiosity grew into a desire to support others more intentionally, ultimately leading me to pursue a career as a therapist. I value creating a space where people feel understood, supported, and able to explore their experiences without judgment.
Prior to beginning my clinical work, I spent time working in various childcare settings and alongside families. These experiences reinforced for me how powerful connection can be, and how deeply our relationships impact our overall well-being. They continue to shape the way I approach my work today.
Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, gardening, cooking, and being in nature. These moments help me stay grounded and connected in my own life.

How do I support clients in their healing and growth?
My clinical approach is grounded in a systemic, trauma-informed, and relational lens. I believe therapy is most meaningful when it feels collaborative, grounded in trust, and centered on each person’s unique experience. I draw from evidence-based approaches including, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and other evidence-based modalities. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor our work to your unique needs, integrating practical tools and coping strategies to support both emotional and physical regulation.
Do you accept insurance and private pay?
Yes, I accept insurance and private pay. I am in network with most major insurance providers.
For private pay, intake sessions are $150 and individual follow up sessions are $125. Couples and family follow sessions are $150.
My Approach
I work with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan (ages 7+), including those navigating both traditional and non-traditional relationship structures. I aim to create a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable exploring your experiences and working toward your goals.
My approach is holistic and systemic, meaning we’ll look not only at your individual experiences, but also at the relationships and systems that shape your life, including family, cultural, relational, and professional contexts. I view you as the expert of your own life, and my role is to work alongside you in exploring your experiences, identifying patterns, and clarifying what feels most meaningful and aligned for you. With curiosity and compassion, I’ll support you in building self-awareness and identifying areas for growth.
I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, trauma, life transitions, divorce, spousal loss, grief, and the dying process. I’ve also worked with hospice patients and their families, which has shaped my ability to thoughtfully integrate the impact of physical illness into the therapy space. I am affirming of LGBTQIA+ individuals and strive to create an inclusive and respectful environment for all clients.
If my approach feels like a fit for you, I’d be honored to support you in your process!
